Meet Dr. Adrián Besson
From College Athlete to Family Chiropractor
Dr. Besson’s path to chiropractic care began on the volleyball court at age 12. Despite his father’s advice to stretch and take care of his body, young Adrián learned the hard way about overtraining and sports injuries.
Chiropractic care became his lifeline during those challenging years, helping him not only recover but perform at his best. That personal experience with the healing power of spinal alignment ignited a passion that would shape his entire career. When he had the opportunity to shadow a family-based chiropractor during college, everything clicked into place.
A Vision for Wellness Beyond Pain Relief
“My dream is for kids to start coming in for chiropractic, getting their spines checked and their spines aligned so their nervous system is functioning from a young age,” Dr. Besson explains.
His approach goes far beyond treating symptoms when they appear. He envisions a world where families think about wellness before problems develop, like visiting the dentist for regular checkups. This preventive mindset drives everything he does at Besson Chiropractic, from treating newborns to helping grandparents stay active and mobile.
Education and Empowerment First
Every patient receives thorough education about their condition during those first crucial visits. Dr. Besson believes that understanding creates better outcomes. “I take it upon myself to educate them from the first couple of days so they could have those wow moments of, ‘Oh, okay, wait. This is why this is happening.” He sets clear goals with each patient, ensuring everyone understands what treatment involves, why it works, and how it fits their specific needs.
Family Values, a Community Heart
Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Besson chose his Coral Gables location specifically because it reminded him of the community-centered medical practices from his homeland. The practice reflects his core values: treating every patient like family, respecting busy schedules, and never pressuring anyone into care they don’t want or need. His flexible approach means treatment plans adapt to your lifestyle, whether you can visit four times one week or need Saturday appointments to fit your family’s schedule.
